Building Brands, Shaping Stories: Inside Arushi Agarwal’s Creative World

Some people follow the rules. Others decide to rewrite them with a whole lot of creativity, a splash of aesthetic flair, and a good cup of coffee. That’s exactly what Arushi, co-founder of TAD Studio and Holm Story, has been up to for the last few years.

She’s the kind of person who can brainstorm a brand identity by day, lift serious weights by evening, and throw together a dinner party that looks straight out of Pinterest by night. Basically—doing it all, and doing it in style

Her goal? To create a boutique agency that felt personal, collaborative, and fun. One that gave startups and homegrown brands the 360° creative support they deserved—from branding to social media, and everything in between.

We had the chance to have an interview with her to get to know better what TAD Studio and Holm Story are all about.

Arushi describe her teams work the following way:

“We work with like-minded brands who get it—and we love bringing their ideas to life in the most fun, strategic, and visual ways possible.”

And yes—TAD Studio is powered entirely by women. Because who wouldn’t want to work with sharp, creative minds that can craft both strategy and the perfect meme?

Serving Style, One Ceramic at a Time

In 2023, Arushi launched Holm Story, a homegrown tableware brand shaped by her interest in hosting, food, and well-made everyday objects. What started as a personal appreciation for thoughtfully designed spaces and shared meals turned into a business rooted in function and aesthetics.

Picture hand-crafted mugs, distinctive forms, and clean, minimalist designs—the kind of pieces that feel like they belong in your kitchen the moment you see them. Each item is designed in-house and developed through careful research and testing, shaped by a process that balances creativity with everyday use.

Holm Story reflects a slower, more intentional way of living—one that values the details of how people gather, serve, and connect around the table. The brand offers a curated selection of tableware that’s meant to be used, not just displayed, and it continues the same practical, design-focused mindset seen in her creative work.

What started online quickly became a cult favorite—Holm Story now retails at multi-brand stores across Delhi, Goa, and Kolkata. It’s even been featured by the likes of Elle Decor, The New Indian Express, Morning Standard, and Leap Club. Not bad for a brand that’s just getting started.

We’ve built a little community of design lovers who keep coming back every time we launch something new. That’s honestly the best part!

Beyond Work: What Makes Arushi, Arushi

Outside of the studio, Arushi brings the same energy and attention to detail to her personal life. Her days are filled with routines and passions that keep her grounded, creative, and constantly inspired. Whether through travel, food, or movement, she finds ways to recharge that often feed back into her work.

When she’s not juggling two businesses, Arushi is doing one (or all) of the following:

– Planning her next trip (she swears travel sparks her best ideas)
– Cooking up a storm for her friends (self-proclaimed chef and proud of it)
– At the gym lifting heavy weights (because fitness = therapy)

She lives life with intention, joy, and a solid aesthetic—and it shows in everything she touches, from the brands she builds to the meals she plates.

I’ve always wanted to create things that make people feel something—whether that’s a logo, a story, a product, or just a beautiful mug to start your morning with.” she shares.

Whether Arushi is developing brands, designing products, or planning her next dinner gathering, Arushi approaches it all with a mix of purpose, creativity, and clarity. She doesn’t chase trends or overcomplicate ideas—instead, she builds with intention, focusing on what feels meaningful and useful. Her ability to move between different roles without losing sight of her vision is what makes her work stand out. In a world that often moves too fast, she brings a steady rhythm and a strong point of view—one that’s as present in her design decisions as it is in the way she sets a table or picks a destination. It’s this blend of discipline, curiosity, and everyday joy that continues to shape the path she’s carving.
